SHORT moviefest is an independent international short film festival.
Each month starting from October 2005 SHORTs select the best films out of hundreds of shorts from many countries. Those most notable in our opinion films are united into a program. Then we invite our viewers to come and choose the best short.
Each program consists of about 10 films and lasts about 2 hours. The main criterion of our selection is film as a source of new impressions, entertainment, leisure. Sometimes SHORTs invite special guests, organize exhibitions and DJ sets.
Today SHORTs is looking for new names in wold cinema and is inviting filmmakers from diverse countries.
SHORTs is about entertainment cinema for clever people. Short and clear.

Why does a festival located in Russia have a mailing address in Finland?
- We have encountered some problems with the Russian Post Services which made us use WESTPOST in order to have fast quality service with direct deliveries to Saint Petersburg. Please, do not use FedEx because they do not deliver to PO boxes.
Is it possible to watch our festival films on the Internet?
- Some films and trailers could be found on the sites of the films' production companies or foreign video-sources. Theiir quality depend on the films' rightsholders. As of now SHORTs cannot upload any films on the internet or give copies of films to third parties.
How is it possible to show my film on SHORTs filmfest?
Rules and order of film submission is thoroughly described in PARTICIPATION . However be ready for a serious competition since we only select about 15% of all works submitted. Our festival does not review or return videocopies of your works.
