SHORTs moviefest is about short films in all their possible genre, stylistic and technical diversity. We view short films as a source of new impressions, leisure and entertainment.
In order to participate in our festival you need:
• to make a DVD-copy of your film (we prefer PAL, but any formats are possible)
• to download and fill in this entry form
• to send a DVD-copy with a filled in entry form to the following address:

SHORTs do not show films the content of which interferes with common human rights and freedoms as well as the Russian Federation laws.

VHS-copies are not accepted!
We do not return films submitted in video formats of any kind.
Registration of your SHORT is valid within the whole existence of our festival.
Our festival screenings take place every month. If your film for any reason did not get into the current program, it does not mean it won’t get into our next programs in the future.
SHORTs festival team will do its best to inform you about your getting in not getting in to the screenings as soon as possible.
Attention!
By submitting your film, you therefore grant us the right to screen your film at the festival and to use its title, fragments, visuals and synopsis for informational and advertising purposes of our festival, including the use of all mentioned above on our website.
We guarantee your film be not used in purposes other than the SHORTs festival itself.
If the film is submitted by anyone other than the copyright holder, the responsibility for the possible breach of copyright laws and other liabilities that may result in limitation of the film screening lies upon those who registered the film for participation.
We will never show any SHORTs with the content that could violate any human rights and freedoms or laws of the Russian Federation.
Our festival functions on a monthly basis once a month. The best short of the month is determent by summing up the audience votes.
According to the overall results of 9 programs the winners will be invited to visit St Petersburg and Moscow in order to choose the best short of the season. They will be also able to submit their other works to the final competition.
SHORTs organizers have a right to put one film from each program which were not selected by the audience into the final competition.
The final competition will happen in June 2008.
As of now we do not give out any money prizes.
The exact sum of the prize money for our final competition and the terms of getting it will be determined in February 2008 and will depend on our sponsors.
